BioI have been a big fan of Japanese culture and language for over 25 years. I can speak a very little Japanese though I have forgotten quite a bit. I lived off and on in Japan from 1990 to 1994, and climbed Mt Fuji from station 5 to just past station 7 (Station 10 is at the top for those who don't know).
Along with my interest in everything Japanese is my interest and love of anime and manga. I have been watching anime since 1977 (Star Blazers and Speed Racer). I started reading manga while in Japan and I think that imported translated manga is the best idea since sliced bread.
I am a big fan of tabletop, offline and online Role-Playing Games. I started playing Dungeons & Dragons in 1979, played my first computer adventure games in 1984 ("Crypt of Medea" and "Wizardry" both on the Apple ][c), and my first MMORPG in 1999 (Asheron's Call). I left AC in 2000 to play with friends in EverQuest and played that game until late 2004. In December 2004 I started playing World of Warcraft and have been playing that off and on up until now. My main character is "Kaho" on the Alliance side of the Shandris server.
When I am not reading manga, I am reading various Science Fiction & Fantasy novels. Depending on my mood, I tend to pickup novels targeted from the age of 12 up to adult. I also enjoy reading Mysteries and Historical novels. Recently, I have also started writing fiction. See journal entries for site that I post my stories to.
I am a computer fanatic and spend most of my time tinkering with Linux and Windows. I have been an amateur programmer since 1980 and I am familiar with the following languages to varying degrees: BASIC, Visual Basic, C, C++, Pascal, Perl, and Python. I also spend a lot of time in forums and on IRC (Internet Relay Chat). Even this journal is an example of my computer infatuation.
Last but not least, I am an animistic, polytheistic, panthiestic, pagan based on a strange mixture of Shinto, Wicca, and Shamanism.

amberkitsune) dedicated to my writings and reviews of other writings. That way I can keep the "junk" separate from the important stuff. I leave it as an exercise to the reader as to which is which.
